You will firstly need your set of equipment!
A fishing rod and remember, always to bring extra baits of different types along. You will never know how many you will use during your fishing trip and it does help when certain bait is not working well and using a different one may actually suit the condition and environment of your fishing spot better. You definitely wish to increase your chances of a catch, don’t you?
For a fruitful fishing trip, do invest some money in getting a good fishing rod with good equipment as the bad ones tend to snap very easily and you will end up getting cut or dropping your rod into the sea.
Next, Fishing spots!
You may be surprised but within Singapore, there are actually plenty of spots around for fishing hobbyists. There are shores and jetties such as the Bedok jetty, reservoirs and streams such as the Kranji Reservoir, offshore islands such as Pulau Ubin and of course, the usual pay ponds such as the one operating at Pasir Ris Town Park. You may even wish to rent a small boat and keep things simple or alternatively, lavish on the trip by renting a yacht and head out to the middle ocean to fish. Either way, it’s for your enjoyment, the way you want it!
Third, definitely some companions to go along!
You can probably get a friend or a group along and make it a group fishing trip. You get to do something different out of your daily work routine, ain’t this true? A fishing trip can be a fascinating way to get together and have some fun!
Lastly, miscellaneous items!
Yes, miscellaneous meaning every little item such as drinks, food and anything you wish to bring to make yourself feel comfortable during the trip. Some necessities like sunblock lotions and moisturizers can actually prevent you from suffering from the consequences of being under the sun for too long. You may wish to bring those too!
